FANATIC HONEYCOMB-Snowboard Ingredients.
CORE MATERIALS: The heart of all our snowboards is their "tip to tail woodcore" in combination with HoneyComb.Fanatic Snowboards has been using HoneyComb since 1988-and in the season 05/06 HoneyComb will be used in all our snowboards!
Obviously-thanks to 28 years of experience in employing HoneyComb-we have made great progress and improvements in the construction of snow boards.Today,it is not without a certain pride that we can declare our know how and technology are extremely advanced.Of course there will always be improvements-and evidently suggestions and requests of our team riders influence product development directly.

Honeycomb |
Cellglass |
is thanks to its harmonious properties still the best material for a good board. We use poplar wood for all our snowboard cores.poplar isideal for snowboard construction as it offers the best blend of damping, weight and dynamics. All woodcores are CNC milled and CNC ground.
is a product of aviation and space technology. Thanks to its geometrically ideal structure,HoneyComb only weighs ten percent of poplar. We use HoneyComb in all our boards-right in the centre of the board-where the core is the thickest.By employing HoneyComb in central areas of the board, its weight is greatly reduced-and the weight is balanced harmoniously, from nose to tail.
is our newest material.Once again we found the solution in space technology.Cellglass, with a density of merely 6g per cm cubed,is extremely light and has excellent damping properties.

| LAMINATES: |
Quadrax Fibre We use the Quadrax Fibre for our freeride boards. For this construction, the very fine and extremely light fibres are laid out in four different directions.Hereby we achieve maximum power transmission as well as a perfect ratio of longitudinal and diagonal rigidity. In brief:maximum big mountain performance!
Triax Fibre
For our freestyle boards we use the Triax Fibre. This causes an excellent flex and yet the power impulse is transferred directly to the edges without causing the board to become unnecessarily stiff. The result of this construction is a board with an aggressive performance and reliable bite that stays controllable in every situation.
Biax Fibre
The Biax Fibre causes a smoothly balanced flexure and torsional performance.Biax Fibre gives the board a docile and relaxed to ride character.

Double Carbon String
The parallel carbon strips are used in the high-end freeride boards. The carbon strings give the board an excellent acceleration over the edges, lets it iron out uneveness and it remains on track reliably.
X Carbon
The X carbon technology fires our high-end freestyle boards. The carbon strips give the board the necessary "pop" for the jump.Yet the torsional properties of the board remain flexible, effortlessly turnable and easier to control in extreme situations.
X Kevlar String
While carbon fibre is responsible for the dyna, ics and power of the board,Kevlar provides the necessary damping and minimisation of vibrations. The X kevlar string produces an impressively relaxed running smoothness.
Power Wings
The intergrated Power Wings are incorporated underneath the bindings and consist of an extra Biax Fibre Laminate(so called Prepreg).Apart from their outstanding damping properties, the Power Wings especially improve power transfer to the edges.

| BASE MATERIALS: |
Premium Sintered Base is 7200
The Premium Sintered Base is the fastest snowboard base on the market. However it requires good regular maintenance in order to unfold its full potential.
Premium Base is 4400
The Premium Base combines excellent running properties with high durability and reliably offers good gliding characteristics
Cut-In
In the Cut-In base, design elements are intergrated accurately into the base by ultrasonic-cut.
| CORE CONSTRUCTION: |
Supreme Formula Woodcore
The combination of very light and perfectly damping "Cellglass" and our poplar woodcore makes it possible to build exceptionally light boards. For this construction two strips of cellglass are laminated into the woodcore. The Supreme Formula Woodcore is extremely light-and sets high standards with a truly compelling performance!
Segment HoneyComb
For this construction we process HoneyComb and wood. The result is a woodcore which is up to 30% lighter. The different flexure characteristics of HoneyComb and wood change the torsional response within the board core. This results in a harmonious and precise edge grip.
HoneyComb Bars
is our newest material.Once again we found the solution in space technology.Cellglass, with a density of merely 6g per cm cubed,is extremely light and has excellent damping properties.
HoneyComb Centre Bars
The HoneyComb Centre Bars positioned right in the centre of the board reduce the core weight by 20%.An additional advantage of this construction is that we can adjust the board flex very accurately.
Progressive Side Cut
The side cut is tapered towards the board's tail and is tri-radial.This has the advantage that the board has very good control on the edges-and accelates out of turns.
Radial Side Cut
The invariable side cut provides a well balanced, harmonious handling.Snowboards with a radial side cut are, therefore, more docile and easier to control.
| BASE FINISH: |
Stone Grind Finish
For our super fast boards the Stone Grind Finish is the best polish.Snow contact is reduced by the longitudinally ground micro-grooves.This makes the board extremely fast and simultaneoulsy very stable on the track
Struc Turn Finish
For the Struc Turn Finish measured oval patterns are stamped into the contact surface. These micro-dents in the base create an air cushion that increases the starting acceleration and improves the turnability
